Ship leveling is fine. You need to pick between getting betters and leveling a bit slower versus getting gold and no betters and leveling a bit faster. It was OP when you could make over 2mil an hour, which is no longer the case. And the XP was also nerfed at one point.

SolusYou can level MUCH faster on land than on a boat. Just find the right mobs & use the right weapons.

Also, depending on your level, classes, & how the mobs are set about, it can be possible to make more gold on foot than on a boat. Also, depending on your level & the mobs you get gold from, you can go a step further & make even more money by selling their gear to shops. (Assuming they are buying.)

Because I made better profits on land, betters, a chance for scatters, a chance for a hunter & the AP & tokens that come with it, and so forth, I rarely used my boat. It was better to be on land, and the nerfs that occurred because people were too lazy to learn to make gold & such were a lil' disappointing.
